FBI Agent Shane Doyle sat in his office of the New York FBI Office's Eastern Europe division, going over the photos and file of a trafficking ring he and the other agents of the division were investigating. As he worked, he looked over to the photo of Laura that he had on his desk. Along with his faith and family, Laura was one of the things in his life that helped keep him sane. Shane smiled a bit as he looked at the photo, then got back to the file. He was thankful to have met Laura. Like him, she was in law enforcement so they both knew what the job was like. If either one had a bad day, they both knew just to listen to the other as they vented about what happened. They also shared the same faith, which was a bigger plus for them. As he worked, Shane heard the elevator doors open. He looked over to see who was getting off, not knowing who he would meet and that he would end up working with these people on the case that he was on.

Special Agent Maggie Lefebvre was not like most EUROPOL agents. In fact, she wasn't really like most Federal agents in general. Not only was she feckless, she had an attitude problem. And that attitude was "I don't care, and you can't MAKE me care." She was also one of the best dressed, some might say even inappropriately so, agents in the Agency. She was also sexy as hell, which she KNEW. And she used it to her every advantage. Also, Maggie firmly believed that the Agent's Field Guide was solely intended for use as a fire starter-she'd never actually read the thing. She didn't believe in rules, and she didn't like authority. Unless it was a certain CIA agent, who, oddly, had been in the wind as of late. So here she was.
Her newest assignment had her working with the FBI. Which was fine, for the Frenchwoman believed that Americans couldn't get their Intel together if the whole of mankind depended on it. And her mission leader was a man. Even better. Maggie liked men. In more ways than one.
She glided down the halls of the New York FBI office, ignoring the shocked stares of the poorly-dressed Feds and trying-to-hard civilians. Maggie's fashion mantra was "epater le matron." Shock the Matron. Next best was Epater les Americans. Which she was DEFINITLEY doing. She entered the anteroom, a beguiling smile on her cherry-red stained lips. Her gun remained close by, in her thigh holster, but she stopped, and removed her badge from her purse. With a quick toss of her head, she mussed her blonde hair, and knocked once. When she was allowed in, she smiled big, and spoke, the tiniest hint of Paris-meets-Philly accent filling the room.
Special Agent Shane Doyle?! I am Special Agent Maggie LeFebvre, EUROPOL.

Shane looked at the woman who spoke to him. "Thats me" he said to her. "How can I help you Agent LeFebvre?" he asked. At the same time, His skill in reading people took over. He could tell that she had a 'I don't care and you can't make me care' attitude. Shane knew this was going to be a long day for him, but he didn't let it show as he stood behind his desk. At the same time, he knew that he would have to treat lightly with her.

Maggie quickly realized that she was in control of how this day went. Luckily, she was in a good mood, so she wouldn't let this Shane Doyle dangle for too long. She was feeling generous, so she might even listen to him. She would see. She sat down, uninvited, and crossed her legs primly. No need to push it just yet. She pulled a copy of the case file from the manila envelope she had brought.
So...what does the FBI need EUROPOL for?! She hadn't gotten much from her supervisor, just a "Report to FBI HQ, look for a Shane Doyle, and don't mess it up."
She waited for his response, but pushed ahead. Also, fancy some coffee?! I need a cup... Or five, after the night SHE'D had...

Shane kept his cool as the woman spoke to him. He didn't get why she felt the need to shout at him like he was a school kid who stepped out of line. Shane looked at the files that the woman had with her, then slid a photo over to her. "Its because of this man and no I am fine." he said to her in response to her comment about coffee.

Maggie was already on her feet, hauling her butt to the coffee pot. She didn't NEED directions, she could SMELL the coffee. One thing that her training had taught her was how to sniff out a pot of coffee even buried in the snow in the Himalayas. Not that she'd ever HAD to, but...it was a useful skill to have. She simply shrugged at Shane.
Lovely. I'll be right back... Her one-track mind was back to the jet fuel in a pot. She poured herself a large cup, black, and headed back to the office. She settled herself in, glad that others had joined them. She picked the folder back up, and read through it. She sighed. She knew this target. She'd been tailing him for awhile. She wanted him dead. Her superiors wanted him alive, but in Gitmo.
I know this fellow. He is on europol's most wanted list. My partner and I have been trailing him for awhile. Last I heard, he was hiding out in Syria. She raised both eyebrows. What did the FBI want with him?!
(So I left a little opening in case someone else wants to come in. I might drop Roger in. Otherwise, I will reply as Maggie again, and this can be our fun little thread!)

Shane watched her as she said that to him. "I see" he said to her in reply. "We have intel to believe that he is here in New York and had something big planned." Shane added as he watched her. "What does EUROPOL have on him?" he asked off the cuff as he watched her.

Maggie considered her place for a moment. JUST a moment, though. On the one hand, she could have a bit of fun, and string this Shane Doyle along for a while, and have a ball, or she could just be straight with him. She wasn't sure which track to take. She just sighed, and parted her red lips.
EUROPOL wants him for selling hot bombs to the Russians. Apparently, arming Socialists pisses people off. She shrugged noncommitally. She knew a bit more, but better not to play all her cards just yet.

Shane nodded a bit when she said that to him. At the same time, he had a feeling she was stringing him along, which was something he hated. "Anything else I need to know?" he asked while he watched her. He kept his cool, not wanting her to see how much it angered him when people beat around the bush.

Maggie kept her face steady. She was not going to reveal everything she knew just yet. Some of it didn't matter in this case, and what did, this Agent Doyle should already know. EUROPOL was a neutral agency, but she had trust issues anyway, which was one of the key reasons why she was good at the spy game.
Anything else I need to know? With her most winning smile, she shook her head.
Anything else that EUROPOL or INTERPOL has on this suspect is not available to little old me. What you know is what I know. Except for the fact that she also wanted this guy for trafficking humans-specifically, female humans. She smiled.

Shane nodded a bit in reply when she said that to him. "Point taken" he said to her. "This way" he added as he walked to the door. "The rest of the team is down the hall."

Maggie snapped the file shut. Ok, if she was going to be forced to be here, she might as well buck up and get with the program. She decided on the spot to give this Agent Doyle a bit of a break, and cut the child act for a bit. For now, anyway. At least until she determined if he could be trusted or not. If he could, then she would let him see her as an Agent-driven, dedicated, and hard working. If not, he got airhead, flirty Maggie.
With a real smile this time, she stood as the man spoke to her. Point taken..This way.The rest of the team is down the hall. She wondered what it would LOOK like, a gaggle of FBI agents. Were they all nerdy, like you saw on TV, or spooky guys like Jumping Jack Flash (who, ok, was technically CIA, but her point was made)? She didn't know. She followed him down the hall, the sound of her high heels clacking across the tiled floor. She just hoped that she didn't screw something up, for once. She spoke aloud.
Is this team only FBI, or..? Could she wish that the CIA, or actually, one particular CIA agent, was involved??!

Shane looked back at Maggie when she asked him that. "Just FBI" he said to her as they walked down the hall. In the conference room, Shane's boss and the other agents assigned to the case where all standing around the table. None of them looked nerdy at all.

Maggie followed Shane quietly. She was a bit disappointed when Shane indicated that this one was all FBI.
Damn. Oh, well. I like FBI agents... Particularly if there were any good looking, single male ones. She smiled again as she took a seat.
WELL. Not a single nerd in sight. Hello, all. I am Special Agent Maggie LeFebvre, EUROPOL. She smiled, a hint of her French accent she fought to hide tinging her words.

"Hello Special Agent LeFebvre" Shane's boss said to her after she walked in and sat down. "To what do we owe the pleasure of EUROPOL?" he asked while watching her.
