The Strategic Response Unit (SRU) is a police tactical unit from Toronto in Canada tasked to resolve extreme situations that regular officers are not trained to handle, including hostage-taking, bomb threats, and heavily armed criminals. They are mandated to use negotiation tactics and intuition to try to avoid the use of deadly force, which they can’t always manage. In such case, they are equipped with state of the art high-tech tools and a cache of diverse weapons, but it doesn’t keep the team members from feeling all the pressure of their actions and split-second decisions.
More than a simple action-packed job, these officers also have to deal with their own personal life, their regrets, their joys and the repercussions and consequences of such a job on all spheres of their life. Among all, they have to learn how to juggle with all of it in order to carry on and KEEP THE PEACE.
