When he said he would give her the address to the food place she smiled. "You can just email it to me. As they walked up the steps and into the building and to the elevator. The ride up wasn't bad but she really wasn't looking forward to go back and sit at her desk and do nothing.
Coming back to the BAU floor Signe looked around and saw everyone else was just coming back from lunch as well. She walked over to her desk and sat down letting her purse fall to the ground. She moved the mouse and let her screen come to life. She opened and new email and sent him an email to Spencer. 'Had a good time at lunch...Maybe dinner can be considered a date. Ha ha ha. Anyways just send me the address to the restaurant. Thanks for a good time Spencer.' She clicked send and went back to her work.

Spencer settled in at his desk after Signe excused herself to him. He turned back on his computer, and flipped open the file folder he'd left on his desk. He scans the page, notating as he does so, and then looks up in startled surprise as his email notification beeps, indicating he has a message. He clicks it open, and smiles as he scans the screen.
Signe has emailed him, saying that she'd enjoyed lunch, and asking him to send the info about the resturant, joking that it could be a date if he wanted. He smiles, and types out a reply.
Signe, I had a nice time at lunch. Thanks for the company. The resturant is on the Beltway, between 17th and JFK dr. It's called Bangkok Bay; you can't miss it. I guess we can call it a date; it would be Nov. 3rd, anyway." He clicked send, hoping the woman would get his joke, and then clicked a few keys to bring up his calendar, marking the date and time- Dinner w/ Agent Larsen, 6 PM, Bangkok Bay.

Signe read the email she had recieved back from Reid. She smiled and nodded to him giving him a thumbs up. She then went back to her work...She only had a few more cases to file. Her dad from then on was slow and she found herself running through her thoughts. She pulled out a pile of envelopes. In each envelope was a letter from Spencer. She had kept them all from the moment she got the first one after he saved her. She didn't know why but he was special.
She opened an email and began typing...She didn't know why but she needed to put her thoughts out somewhere other than just her head.
'Spencer,
I know most people don't call you that but I feel like Reid sounds a little to formal for the man who saved my life. I can't write to you enough to be able to say how much I thank you. You made me who I am today. You saved me when I am sure everyone was ready to pronounce me dead. I was missing for almost a month. I am able to tell my story along with the stories of every other girl that he killed because of you. I thank you for giving me a second chance.
It's weird. When I went back to school I broke up with my boyfriend. I stopped talking to my guy friends. I started carrying mace with me wherever I went. Men were people I couldn't trust at all...All of them besides you. You were the one man that I knew I can trust and you are the only man I can really say I trust 100% with the exception of Derek. I think that is saying something don't you? I guess what I am saying that after years of not being willing to take a chance with a man I think I am willing to take a chance with you. It's taken me years to tell you this but I feel like when you came to see me in the hospital...I think I fell in love with you. I know you're probably thinking that there is no such thing a soul mates and I used to think that to but...I guess what I am saying...Why not? Why not take a chance at happiness. I can't wait to share dinner with you...Maybe I'll gather the strength to tell you how I feel instead of just writing an email that is never gonna be sent...Ha ha ha you're gonna laugh but, I have a ton of letters like this. Anyways...I should probably stop now...Again, thank you so much for everything Spencer.
-Signe
Signe paused when she was finished writing the email that would never be sent. She opened to a new tab suddenly when she heard someone walking by behind her. She looked at the clock and realized that it was time to leave. Sighed and stood up gathering her things. She closed all her tabs quickly and in that accidentally sent the email to Spencer. She grabbed her jacket and purse along with some other files and walked towards the door. As she went down in the elevator she sighed...Why was it that she could go barging into a home with a gun in her hand but she couldn't tell a shy guy like Spencer how she felt about him?

Spencer stood and got himself a cup of coffee before settling back in at his computer. He saw Signe leave, but had been too late returning from the breakroom to wish her a good evening. He checked some more files, completed his report, slipped it under Hotch's door, and turned to his email to check it for a final time before leaving for the rest of the weekend.
It was mostly boring stuff-spam, a note from Prentiss reminding him to bring the Jones file next week, a mass email from the guy who ran the BAU's softball team, looking for teammates. He clicked "delete all," almost missing the strange email from Signe. He deleted the rest, but saved that one.
He clicked it open, noting a sense of excitement in his stomach as he scanned the words. She was telling him that she was grateful for him saving her life, and telling him that she could never thank him enough. He was about to erase it again, sure the rest of it was more of the same, and he was too humble and easily embarrassed by that sort of thing. However, his eyes settled on one phrase.
"I think I fell in love with you..."
He stopped, unsure of what to do next. She *loved* him? But how? Logically, there was no explanation. She claimed that he should be happy, and of course, so should she, but really, LOVE? He'd never loved anyone, except his parents, of course, but she didn't mean that kind of love.
He saved the email, filing it under "private", vowing to seek out JJ's advice, for she was the only one he trusted enough to talk about this to. He took a breath and picked up his phone, dialing JJ, hoping she'd be at home and not too annoyed that he was calling her a 4 pm on a rare Saturday off.
He was happy when she'd picked up, and relayed to her the email; not word-for-word, as he felt that that would be a violation of Signe's trust, but enough so that JJ would understand the gravity of the situation.

He hung up with JJ, not feeling any better. JJ had advised him to follow his heart, but he was confused. His heart was mixed up-LOVE. It was such a strong word, and so easily tossed around, but, really, Signe was a serious person, and not one to use such a word so flippantly.
So he decided to wait it out. Give it a day, sleep on it, and pretend like it never happened. That would be best, because, after all, she said she hadn't meant to send the message.

"Hi you are Dr. Reid right?" Paige asked extending a hand, smiling. "I'm Paige. Is Agent Hotchner in his office?" She looked at the door to his office.

Spencer nodded.
"Sure thing. Um, the best thing to do is probably go downstairs to the Admin office, get your desk assignment, and then come back. You can put your orders to appear on his desk; I have a key. He won't mind, I'm sure. He usually comes into the office for a few hours on Sunday mornings to prepare things for the workweek, so he will contact you then. In the meantime, if you like, you can use this computer," he indicates Morgan's desk, "to send him an e-mail, letting him know that you've arrived. Finally, the weekend supervising agent is a nice man called SSA Matt Springer; I'll show you to his office, and he can help you further. Welcome to the BAU."

"I acctually was just popping in to talk to him, I talk better face to face with a person, but I can come back. Do you know when he will be back?" Paige asked looking him in the eyes for the first time. She smiled quickly. "If you aren't sure I can leave my number and you can have him call me when I could come in and talk to him. So I don't interrupt anything, you know? And thank you so much for helping me," she was careful not to stammer over her words.

At which point, a pile of books on a corner desk toppled. "Oh damn, here we go again..." the ugly little man in a black suit they revealed commented, then looked up to see a new face in the room. "Oh, hello. Call me 'Clark'--it's not really my name, but it's the closest thing to one I've got--I'm on loan to the BAU from Division Six as a 'Special Projects' consultant," he introduced himself, making finger-quotes when he used his name and title, hoping that the new arrival wouldn't be too freaked out by the vintage Thompson submachine gun and the samurai katana hanging behind his desk.

Spencer shook his head.
"Nice, Clark. You sure are good at scaring the ladies. Anyway, Agent....Paige, he will be in for sure Monday. Usually he gets in before the rest of us, around 7 am or so. He drops his son off at school and then comes here. You can leave your number, and I'll make sure he gets it. You could also come by tomorrow afternoon, that's when our Media Liasion Officer, SSA Jareau will be here. Usually between noon and three, when her son and husband watch ball games all afternoon."

"If it's any reassurance, the katana was a personal gift from the Emperor of Japan when I was loaned in a prior government job to his personal protection detail, and I promised him it would be displayed in a place of honor--it's really more symbolic and ceremonial than anything. The Thompson was once Director Hoover's, and it's my assigned sidearm. Please forgive the somewhat startling introduction," the flustered MIB quickly explained.

Paige looked at Clark and smiled "I'm Paige," she said. Then she turned back to Dr. Reid, "thank you and here you go," she paused to hand him her number. "I, um, will stop by tomorrow then," she smiled, a weak smile. She didn't want to leave for some reason, she really wanted to hang out and help in anyway she could. Dr. Reid was cute and she wanted to know him. She wanted friends, more. She looked at Clark "nice meeting you." She looked at Dr. Reid, "thanks so much Dr. Reid. I owe you. Will I see you tomorrow afternoon?" She asked truely curious.

Spencer looked up at her, and smiled one of his tight-lipped smiles, wondering what was the deal with all the women in the office today. He'd gotten a haircut, but really, was that all it would've taken? Why didn't someone tell him? He shook his head, though.
"No, sorry. Sunday is laundry day, and I am also going to the movies with some of the team."
