Well, with the problem of IVF being both stricter rules and more anal about enforcement, I'd like to propose a middle option...

We move the main board over to IVF, but still keep this one for handling things that IVF might have a problem with, like certain types of cases, character romances, etc.

IF is actually a lot more lenient on certain aspects of rp (I have played a vampire on one particular site hosted on IF for about seven years now and they don't give me much issues so long as we mark it accordingly [M] or etc). For the most part, IF is a lot more updated than proboards and it has a lot less glitches (remember my very long disappearance that was not in area with the last one). There is also a nifty little coding tag called DOHTML, and I can make little graphics for each grouping that say "BAU AGENT" etc instead of having to change the colors.

Proboards has issues with even swearing or the mentioning of alcoholic beverages (I got flagged with Butterbeer on a Harry Potter site, and that stuff can't even get you tipsy).

OK, I take your point... is there a table where I can compare precise boundaries side-by-side?

Also, I'd propose that a transition be phased in over several months if it happens taking small sub-boards one or two at a time, giving people time to get used to the move rather than just an abrupt "oh, we're over here now".

DB, there is none, so far as I can tell-it's a lot of googling the TOS's and things like that, and word of mouth. I will look at Caution and see if there is something out there...

I personally really do not care if we switch or not. My main concern would be if threads from this site would mange to be transferred to IVF. I am not going to lie, I don't care. You are all a bunch of awesome people to rp with, and that is all that matters to me. I am not the best person with coding, so I do not care about that. I do not have to handle technical problems normally, so that is not a big deal for me either.

So far as I understand it, all the threads and posts can be transferred. THey might not LOOK exactly the same, graphics wise, but they will read the same. The staff will be discussing all the points brought up here this week.

Moving things from one board to another wouldn't be difficult, either, it's just time consuming and if you don't mind that if Cassie were to post it, or one of the other admins, to speed it up, I don't see a problem with it. After it's done, if we have them in an "archived area" I can always make an index and pin it, too.

Refinement idea... since I had been talking about building a Plotting Timeline for the whole site with links to threads whose events are mentioned in it, maybe have one index by character and use that as another?
