The year is 2394. The USS Voyager brought back from her 9 year journey in the Delta Quadrant Borg technology, but not before they destroyed the transwarp conduit and the Borg Queen herself.
Now, as relations with Alpha Quadrant Federation species continue to wax peaceful, pirates from the ashes of the Cardassian conflict are rising up through the Gamma Quadrant. The long dead Maquis are rising from their graves, and slowly gathering strength through Starfleet. Some believe the pirates aren't a threat against the backdrop of the Borg clean up, but others on the fringes of the Alpha Quadrant are taking matters into their own hands. Silent plans and a disregard for Federation policy have civilians and officers alike putting on renegade Maquis uniforms.
