Here we stand,
alone? no, never, UNITED

JJ knew that she had so much to do, but to be honest, she really could see it far enough. She’d met a few college friends for a drink after work the previous night and laughed as one told her a story about her husband. JJ was so used to avoiding the dreaded ‘Are you with anyone’ question like the plague, she'd waited for it with them. She happily told them about Henry. JJ stirred her cup of coffee slowly as she stood in the bullpen. It was early yet so not everyone was in, her usual morning buddy Hotch was at a budget meeting, one of many, and the others were, well she didn’t know.
JJ then looked down to the case file that sat opened on the counter as she looked through it, she'd gotten from Garcia earlier, where had the lovable TA gone to? It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst they’d seen, not yet anyway. They’d seen a lot in their time as a BAU team. True some had gone, Elle, Jason, and some had joined them, Emily and Rossi, but essentially they’d been a full time for almost 7 years now and it was a family. She remembered when deciding about Henry’s godparents, there had been no doubt in her mind about Garcia and Spence. She didn’t pick her sister as she and her sister already were God-mother’s to their brother’s kids and so the decision most definitely wasn’t hard. She liked that Henry would always have the team in his corner, even if something happened to her, they’d all still be there.
The former media liaison had been out at the weekend with her friends, first college buddies then the girls from the team, she’d enjoyed just going out and forgetting about work, even just for a few hours, she’d felt like she wasn’t knee deep in death and violence. Then she’d gotten home to Will and Henry. They'd slept in til late, gotten up, had breakfast and just had the day to do with as the please. She had headed about three though to collect Henry and then she'd called Garcia organising their next girls night. She liked her life, but one thing could make it better. JJ shook her head to rid her of the thoughts, she had to focus on work and work alone. JJ glanced up as she sat in the small area that was their break room as another person entered, she smiled, "Didn't think you were about yet." She told them with a smirk. "Is everyone at a party and no one told me?" She asked jokingly. JJ had noted even though it was early how quiet it was and she'd been in the breakroom/bullpen for a while now whilst reading her case file.

Ainsley was in the office early today. She was making up for maternity leave-she was going to have another coming up soon enough, and she missed quiet mornings at the office. Hell, she missed quiet mornings in general, the kind where two year olds didn't ask "Why, mummy?" to every statement, nor did your husband spill coffee on the good rug in the den, and the dogs didn't bark at nothing. It was worth it, she supposed, when those same twin two year olds would toddle up to her when she came home, happy to see her, or when Dave would rub her neck late at night. But a third baby just may shove her over the edge.
The clack-clack-clack of her four-inch heels resonated down the mostly-empty halls. She had to wear shoes this high; she was small, about 5'1" so even in stilettos, she was still short. She winced a little at the sound, though, and then sighed loudly. The coffee pot was empty; and she set about filling it. It had been odd, American cofee, and she'd grown to like it. She was humming to herself, an old Scottish lullaby that she'd sung to the babies just before. So she wasn't really paying much attention to the blonde who sat there.
Didn't think you were about yet...Is everyone at a party and no one told me? Ainsley smiled, and tossed out in her Brogue.
I am about at all hours; 'tis what happens when you're someones mummy. I don't know about a party, except Dave and I are due to have one soon. Why are you here so early? Ainsley asked, suspecting that the woman's reasons were the same as hers. Being a mother wasn't easy, especially given thier work.
