Signe paced through the bedroom of Spencer's apartment talking to JJ. She had tried a pregnancy test a few days ago. The test came up positive and she went to the doctor to get a for sure answer. The tests had been sent to her at the office and she was indeed pregnant. She didn't know what to do. This was not something they needed while they were trying to find a serial killer.
"I just don't know what to do JJ. I mean, what am I going to say to Spencer?" She listened to JJ. "Signe just calm down. This is a good thing trust me. I'm not gonna say anything to Spence, you need to tell him yourself." Signe sighed and plopped down onto the bed...She looked at the paper. The doctor said that she shouldn't have gotten pregnant but of course...accidents could happen. She didn't want anyone to know. If they did she knew Hotch would for sure pull her out of the field and if he didn't Spencer surely would.
"Thanks so much JJ. I just wanna get this case out of the way before I tell him. He doesn't need this stressing him out also." She listened to JJ. She understood where Signe was coming from. She knew that Signe was really thinking about Spencer. Suddenly Signe heard the door open. "JJ I gotta go. I'll talk to you tomorrow...Okay. Bye bye." She hung up the phone, hid the document she got from the doctor in her purse and walked out to meet him. He had just gone out for some groceries and that was why Signe took the time to call JJ about the results. She gathered herself before he saw her. Although she knew Spencer would notice something about her she knew she could keep it from him for a little bit.
"Hey you...How was shopping?" She said giving him a kiss. She was glad they were taking a day off from finding the guy. She needed some time to recouperate and to talk to JJ about the baby.

Spencer smiled as Signe came out to the main room, and he kissed her hello. He had noticed that her expression had been odd, but she'd turned happy so fast, he couldn't be sure. He slipped the phone he was holding in his right hand back into his pocket, and continued on to the kitchen, lugging the bag of groceries with him. He spoke to Signe while he did this.
"I'm great. How are you? Anyway, I got the skim milk that you wanted. And for dinner, I thought some pasta would be nice, and I got the stuff for a salad. Are you hungry now? I also got some pre-made potatoes and one of those roasted chickens. They smelled good." He arranged the groceries on the counter, organizing and separating them; veggies with veggies, dairy with dairy, etc, as had been his way since he was a young child helping his mother.
He spoke again. "Also just some basics. So I thought we could just spend today relaxing; you seemed like you might be getting sick earlier; you were so quiet and you looked pale. So I want you relax and eat lightly, OK? We will not think, talk, or act on the case all day long. Instead, we will relax and have some fun, OK?"
He started to put the groceries in the fridge and cabinets as Signe helped.
Signe smiled as he listed off all the things that she had asked for and pulled them out of the bag. He seemed to have everything all taken care of. Good thing she had cleaned up while he was gone. The only thing she hadn't cleaned up was the pictures and files of her case. They had pulled them all and were going over them. They thought that there would be something in the files that would speak to them. He chose the girls for a reason. She just needed to figure that part out.
Other than the files everything was neatly in it's place. All Spencer's movies had been put away in order. She tried to stay away from them the best she could but she just got to stressed with the news about her being pregnant and she just had to do something. They were taking a break from the case so working on that was out and that just left cleaning. She began helping him put the groceries away when he made the comment about how he had noticed she was sick earlier. She paused and searched her mind for an answer to the question.
"I think I may just have food poisoning...That sushi we had the other night didn't sit to well with me." She said as she put the milk into the fridge. Hiding why she was getting sick wouldn't be to hard for the time being...She just needed to figure out how to tell him and where. This was not something they needed right now but what other choice did they have? Signe didn't believe in abortion and something in her couldn't bring herself to give a baby that she helped make up for adoption.

Spencer raised his eyebrows; he could tell she was lying. The sushi had been long enough ago that it would have made her sick. Besides, she wasn't sick right now; she would be vomiting all day if it was food poisioning. But why was she being untruthful? He sighed as he placed the peanut butter in the cabinet, he turned to her.
"Sig, sweetie. What's really going on? Is your stomach upset because of the stress of the case? You can tell me, whatever it is, we can deal with it. Nothing you can say will change the fact that we're in love, and that we are making this work."
Signe couldn't tell him about the baby. He would pull her away from the case and not let her go out on the field she just knew it. She wasn't about to take the back seat and not do anything to track this guy down. She was a well trained agent who knew how to hold her own. She wasn't going to go get herself shot. She knew the right thing would be to tell Spencer about it but she knew that if he knew they would not be able to focus on the case. They needed everyone's undivided attention on this case.
"Spencer...I promise, everything is fine. I saw a doctor about it and he said its probably due to stress. He gave me some anti nausea pills and let me go. Said I was clear to be in the field and I feel fine. Haven't felt sick since." She said walking over to him with a smile on her face. She placed a hand on his face and kissed his cheek. "I know you love me...I love you to. Trust me...I'm fine."
Signe paused when he started asking her questions about her going to the doctor. She felt cornered. She didn't know what to say. She turned to look at him. She hated doing this to him. "It was during my lunch hour at work. JJ went with me. It was nothing, we were in and out like nothing was even wrong Spencer." She stood up and walked over to the table and began to put all the pictures and files away so they could get dinner together. "I'm not a little girl Spencer. I can take care of myself."

Spencer sighed; he realized he was treading water. He hated to question her like this, but he didn't know what else to do; he cared too much, and he worried so much about her. He sighed again, grimacing when she told him that she'd gone to the hospital one day at lunch, with JJ, and that she wasn't a child and could take care of herself. He nodded, and then replied.
"I know you're not a child, sweetheart. I'm sorry for pushing you; I just want to be sure you're OK. If you are just stressed, I understand. I have the headaches; I guess it's the same thing." He smiled, and then continued.
Signe smiled and nodded when he apologized and told me he had his head aches to. She nodded and walked the files over to the coffee table and let them sit there. She came back and went to start cooking the past. She looked back at Spencer and smiled at him, reassuring that she really was okay. She started the water and filled the pot. She set it on the stove and turned the burner on. "So I know we aren't supposed to do anything about the case today but I seriously think that I may have found something."

Spencer looked up in surprise from the onion he was beginning to chop.
"Oh, yeah? Can you tell me?" He hoped that she would feel comfortable telling him about what she found; he knew he had annoyed her, but he was OK now. He really was just worried about her.
