Spencer woke up in a daze. Signe had apologized the night before, again, but he hadn't been willing to talk about it. He had been annoyed, but more than that, he was confused. He was happy, of course, but also confused-how did this happen? They had been...well, they hadn't been safe, actually. But it was one time. Of course, logic told him that that's all it took. He looked over at Signe, who was still sleeping. He was glad; he needed a little bit of alone time to think. Besides, she would need all the sleep she could get now.
He dressed, pulling on some jeans and a t-shirt, and started some coffee. He settled onto the couch, holding the steaming mug and began to think. His mind formed a plan.
First, they'd need to tell everyone-at least, their parents, and the team. They'd need a bigger place; luckily, he'd just gotten a raise. They would need baby stuff, although what that entailed, he didn't know. Finally, he was of the idea that men and women should be married when they procreate, but he wasn't sure how Signe felt. He sipped his coffee some more, and then stood, heading for the bedroom.
Signe was having a hard time. She hadn't been honest with Spencer and that was the worst thing she could have done. They still lived together but sometimes she wished they didn't. The tension was difficult to deal with. She had a hard time getting to sleep. When she did finally get to sleep she was out like a light.
Morning eventually came and when she opened her eyes she found the place where Spencer slept to be empty. She sat up and placed her hand on her stomach, she stroked her stomach which had yet to form a bump yet but it wouldn't be to long until it would. "I know honey...I don't like it when he's angry either." She looked down at her stomach and tried her best to keep her tears back. She really wasn't having a good time with this. She was happy that they were having a baby, she just wasn't happy that she had gotten herself dug into a big, deep hole.
Suddenly she heard someone walking into the room and she looked up. It was Spencer, she smiled hoping that if she was in a good mood then he would be also. She had probably said she was sorry more times than she could count in the past few days. "Hey...How did you sleep?" She paused and looked down at her stomach, her stomach that was holding the little baby that would hold her and Spencer together. "Spencer...We need to get past this...I know what I did was wrong and I will never stop saying I was sorry. But can we please do this for the baby?"

Spencer nodded.
"Of course. I am not mad anymore. I've been thinking, though." He climbed into the bed and reached for her.
"I think that we need to call our parents. After that, we should start thinking about maybe getting a bigger place; from what I hear, babies need room. Finally, um, what are your thoughts on the...future?" He sighed; he wasn't being clear, but it was nice that they were talking. He realized he'd been a jerk, but really, how could she have kept this from him? He sighed again, kissed her, and then spoke.
"And, I need to apologize for being so distant. I was angry, but I had no right to shut you out. I hope you can forgive me."
Signe smiled when he climbed into bed with her. She liked the feeling of him holding her close. When he started talking about how they needed to tell there parents about the baby she nodded in agreement. She agreed that telling there parents soon was probably a good idea. She wanted to meet his family, she was wanting to meet them for a while now but he seemed not to thrilled about the idea. Granted his mother was pretty sick but she didn't care.
He asked her what her thoughts were on the future. She paused and looked at him. She began to feel warm. Was he talking about marriage? "What do you mean?"

Spencer smiled, and ran a hand across her stomach absently. He was worried about when the baby would start kicking; it had freaked him out when he felt Henry kicking JJ. He listened to Signe, and then bit his lip as she questioned what he meant by "the future." He wet his lips, and then spoke.
"Well, call me old fashioned, but I think that it would be a good idea for us to marry. I mean, I just think that when two people are having a baby, they should do that. You know? Unless you don't want to; I mean, I know that JJ and Will aren't married, and they do fine, and love each other and Henry. I was just raised like that, I think. So...that's what I mean. Whatever you want to do is great; I just want you to be OK with it all."
Signe was confused...Was he asking her to marry him? Was he asking her because he loved her or was he proposing because they were going to have a baby. She sighed and looked at him as she sat up. She tilted her head. "Spencer...Are you asking me to marry you because you wanna make me your wife and cause you love me or just because I'm pregnant with your baby." Sometimes she found it cute how he would stumble over his words but at this point she was pretty confused.

Spencer rolled his eyes; he could be such an idiot. He smiled, though, and replied.
"I am sorry I am such an idiot sometimes. I have never proposed to a woman, you see, so it makes me nervous. I am asking you to marry because we're in love-aren't we?-AND because, as a result of that love, we're having a baby. I wish I had a ring and it was more romantic. I'm sorry."
Signe couldn't help but smile when she heard the words that came out of his mouth. He could be a dork sometimes but that was what she loved about him. He was her dork. She began tearing up this time with tears of joy. She pulled him towards her in an embrace and gave him a kiss. She looked at him with the biggest smile on her face and nodded. "Of course I will marry you Spencer Reid...But you have to do it right first." She said teasing him. She was someone who like tradition. She wanted him to have the ring, do the whole get down on one knee thing and ask her to become Mrs. Spencer Reid.

Spencer smiled as Signe replied in the affirmative. She forgave him; that much was obvious. And of course she wanted the real deal...and he would do that for her. He grinned and kissed her back, and then spoke.
"Of course, my dear. I am sorry for my dweeby nervous chatter. I have an idea. Why don't we do breakfast, and then I need to make a few phone calls. Then we'll go have a really nice dinner before we call our families, OK?"
Signe smiled and nodded. She would love to do some breakfast with him. She missed them being all sweet and cute together. She stood up out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. She started the shower and came out to look at him. "I'm gonna hop in the shower really quick." She left and started to get into the shower. She washed herself off and let her body soak in the water. When her shower was done she looked in the mirror. Already she was looking better. Maybe that was because she was happier with him.
She got herself dressed and then walked out into the front room. She was wearing one of his dress shirts and that was it. She ventured into the kitchen where he was finishing breakfast and slipped between him and the counter. She gave him a kiss and looked at him with longing eyes. "Hows that breakfast coming?"

Spencer grinned; Signe was sexy, and of course, he loved her. He supposed they didn't have to be too careful now, and he reached over and flipped off the stove.
"You look...better. Come here," he said, reaching out for her, and pulling her to the ground to make love to her again.
Signe smiled when she found herself underneath Spencer and on the ground. He began kissing her and making his way to the main event. She started giggling feeling all giddy. She kissed him passionately as she took off his shirt. She would never get over the feeling of his bare chest. She started unbuttoning the shirt she was wearing and practically ripped it off of her. She looked up at him with a teasingly devilish grin on her face.

Spencer closed his eyes as he moved over Signe, preparing them for the main event. He was enjoying the make-up sex as much as she seemed to, and as they finished, he exhaled in deep satisfaction and relief that she forgave him. He kissed her, and then rolled over onto his side.
"I think I burnt the eggs." He grinned, and pulled her to him once more, inhaling in her scent; the strawberry smell he loved so much. He murmured, his voice low against her head.
There bodies moved together like it was meant to be. She smiled and let out a loud sigh when he finallt reached his climax. For a nerd and kinda a dork he seemed to like sex an awful lot. She smiled and chuckled when he said that he thought he may have burnt the eggs. She gave him a kiss and grabbed the shirt she had been wearing before she ripped it off. "That's okay...I really just want a glass of orange juice."
She stood up, grabbed the pitcher of orange juice and poured herself and Spencer a glass. No more coffee for her...She was going to have to get used to that. She took her glass of orange juice and walked over to the couch in the living room and turned on the news. She soon turned it off when she saw that someone else had died, there had been a fire and many other horrible things. She looked down at her stomach and then back up to Spencer. "What are we gonna do when our baby starts to hear everything we talk about?" She said seriously worried. They worked in a line of work where they always talked about murder and rape and she knew a baby would eventually be able to hear.

Spencer watched his girlfriend move around the house, talking a million miles. Apparently, she was good now; not upset at him, and calmed down from the collar. He smiled as he re-dressed, and began to clean up the untouched breakfast. He'd smiled when she said all she'd need was orange juice, but he spoke up.
"Sig, please try a little something more than just the juice. You've got to keep your strength up, OK?" He wiped down the counters, and tossed the dishrag into the laundry pile, which was nearby. He'd have to do that later; no more heavy lifting for Signe. In fact, if he had his way, she would be out of the field now, but he knew if he suggested that, she'd kill him. He figured they'd wait until she showed, anyway.
From the living room, Signe spoke, asking him what they will do once the baby can start to hear things. He smiled, and entered the room, sitting down next to her.
"Honey, the baby will also be exposed to plenty of people that care about it. JJ was pregnant with Henry, and worked all the way up until her delivery, and in fact, we had just finished a case when she went into labor. And look at Henry; he's totally fine. We can explain to the baby about good guys and bad guys and how Mommy and Daddy will always get the bad guys." He grinned, and then continued.
"Anyway, I think I should call JJ and apologize. Also, would you mind too terribly if I ran out for a bit? There's some things I have to do if we want to do dinner tonight."
