Jane was super-late; she had been hauling in a perp and just got done processing the sorry SOB. She hurried into the meeting room, and spoke, her tone firm but light.
"Hello. I am Detective Jane Morris, St. Louis PD. I apologize for my tardiness. I had a perp that needed his ass nailed to a wall." She nodded to Shauna, whom she recognized as the original investigator on the case. "I have some case files here." She took a seat, pulling out her notebook, and passing the files around.
"You doin' lead on this one, Shauna?"

Shauna looked at Jane when she walked in, "Your forgiven" she said while watching Jane set the file down, "Yes I am" she added in reply to Jane's question, "We are about to put our profile together at the moment thought."

"I am sorry. Captain told me show up here. A profile is a good place to start; I've been reading about your work. I apologize for being late." She sat down, and fell quiet, pulling out a notebook in order to take some notes.

Shauna nodded a bit in reply, "Your forgiven" she said to Jane before turning back to the rest of the group, despite the fact they just met, she could tell that Jane would be a great ally to them and could help them close this case

Lucas came hurrying through the door while getting his tablet out of his bag. He took a seat among the group, leaning back in his chair. He started his tablet up and opened up the email letting it load. He looked up and started to talk, "Sorry for being late. I had to hurry back to the SUV to get my bag. Anyway, are we going to gather before addressing the Police. "
He hadn't found out very much from going through the old cases, not anything they hadn't expected. " Pretty much I just found some confirmation for our theories already. He is very sporadic, very random, and doesn't have a preference on who he kills. He is arguably the most dangerous killer, however we do know, he doesn't leave St. Louis and he had been here a long time."
Signe smiled at Spencer when he touched her arm. She pulled the phone away from her head slightly. "I'm just checking up on DJ and Aimee...Aimee says they're watching a movie." She smiled and went back to listening to Aimee talk and ramble. "It's fine if Julie comes over but it's up to Spencer on if Billy comes over. If he does he is NOT to stay the night. My dad's coming to check on you guys tonight so I'll know." She said into the phone. She knew Strauss would never in a million years let Billy do something like that but kids will be kids.
When she saw Lucas come bounding into the room she started saying her goodbyes. "Don't let her nap to much or she won't sleep through the night. Gotta go, talk to you soon." She hung up the phone and looked over at Lucas.
What he was saying was good, she thought. This meant that they were closer to finding him then they were before now that they had everything finalized, well...Almost everything. He mentioned all the things that they had thought about. He did indeed seem dangerous...But Signe was convinced that this guy was a lot more complicated then they would think.
"When Hotch and I went to the recent crime scene we didn't see anything that would suggest they had someone angry with them. I mean her husband was a lawyer, it's worth checking to see if he handled any cases before he died." She said piping into the conversation. They needed to figure out what they were dealing with and soon. If they were right about this guy. He could kill anyone at any minute. "I can also look and see if her husband handled any cases with patients in a mental facility." She said throwing out some more ideas.
JJ looked at Shauna. She could tell she wasn't fine but she knew that you should never push someone to tell you something. It never ended well. She sighed and nodded, letting this one go for now. She looked up when she heard the door open and saw Lukas coming into the room shortly after Rossi. She straightened up and listened to what was going on around her. Lukas seemed to be giving some good stuff to work with.
Signe started throwing out things she could look into and JJ started smiling. This was great, people were starting to work together. She really liked the way this was going. "I can call the Sanitariums in St. Louise and look for any people admitted just before the killings stopped and released just before they started up again."

"Hmm, I am not sure that's the right road to take. Staistically, he was likely "on a break" from killing to deal with family problems. Besides, sanitariums don't exactly let people out." He knew that one for sure, from personal experience, of course. He paused for a moment; it always made him feel guilty that Mom was still there.
"But it might not hurt; they may know of mental health resources or clinics that the UNSUB might have frequented."
Shauna nodded in agreement, "You might want to check with the state mental hospital." she commented, "If memory serves me right, they network with all the sanitariums in both St. Louis and around state and are the de facto archive for anything mental health related in the state of Missouri." Shauna added
Derek arrived at the station and he looked at his watch and he knew he was late and he let a long breath because he knew he would hear a ear full from Hotch. So he walked though the doors of the station and he saw a officer coming up to ask him why he was there he should him his badge and the officer nodded and Derek continued to the to the teams meeting. he peeked though like four offices and then he saw Reid and Signe and so he knocked on the door and he opened the door and he said "sorry i'm late" then he walked over next to Reid.
Signe turned along with a number of agents on the team and smiled when she saw her friend Morgan. She put her phone in her pocket and looked at the large athletic man walking over to them. She was glad he was here. She didn't think he would be here. She looked over at the others and then thought more about what they needed to figure out.
"I can check the smaller clinics to see if they had some people in during those times. Shouldn't be to hard to get." She said piping up.

Clark waited for a break in the discussion, then made his move. "As SSA Rossi started to mention, I have something of a 'Ballistic Profile' for him. This guy REALLY likes a certain kind of bullet, specifically Barnes DPX, that only two specific niche firms build ammo around, and only a handful of gun shops in St. Louis Metro stock either of those loads. On the way back, we swung by the ballistic lab and fired some test rounds..." He paused to lift a box onto the table. "This is a .38 Special Cor-Bon loaded DPX fired into ballistic gelatin--the wound track is almost identical to that in our victims," he said as he slid the gelatin slab onto the table. "And THESE," he said as he passed a pair of expanded slugs around, "are an expanded .45ACP DPX along wth one of our standard Winchester Rangers fired through one of my 1911's--note that while the DPX is lighter, it's almost a solid mass of copper alloy and retained its mass all the way through while the Ranger shed a few of its petals."
He looked up from his Show And Tell, smiling. "Once we have a profile, I'd propose that I take it to the local gunshops that he might buy from, since there are only a handful and Gun Nuts are my people and I speak their language without antagonizing them as much as most Feds do--with me, they tend to see a fellow Gun Nut first and a badge second, and the fact that I've earned a certain reputation on the competition circuit gives me an in too. They also like money, and I could probably stand to pick up a few extra magazines and some other odds-and-ends parts for various projects and just to have spares on hand anyway, so Customer Rapport may help me too."

"Great, thanks Clark. Ok, so we have an UNSUB who has returned after an absence, we have a mental health problem, and we have ballistics. So, we're looking at someone who is most likely male. Agent Quinn told us that he worked for the Fire Department. Which makes him knowledable about law enforcement. I think, given the long history of kills, that we're looking for an older male, probably mid-40's, and likely with a childhood history of violence in the home. We know what kind of weapon he carries, and what his choice of ammo is." He took a sigh, and continued, looking at Detective Morris.
"Ok, Clark, Rossi, Reid. Go do what you need to do. Quinn, JJ and I will give the profile, and the rest of you will start hitting the mental health clinics, facilities and area doctors. I also need someone, perhaps Hilshire and Morrow, to contact the fire department to see who has missed work recently."

Shauna nodded as she listened to Hotch, then turned to head out to the briefing room, were the other detectives and officers were assembling, as she walked, Shauna thought over the profile, it made sense to her, but at the same time it was frustrating as this guy was always one step ahead of them

As they broke up, Clark approached Quinn. "For some reason, I... can't explain, but I get a 'vibe' this guy may be spoiling for a piece of you personally, so... take this, kind of a lucky charm," he said as he pulled an Ace of Spades from his pocket and crisply folded the top down to meet the right edge. "What I used to be, well... we have certain calling cards both to mark our kills and to indicate those who are not to be harmed on pain of swift and certain death, and to those in the know the Folded Ace tells them you're under my aegis--I've never lost a bearer of one of those cards, so hopefully it'll carry some of my luck and skill and the Man Upstairs watching out for me over to you." Sensing her frustration, he continued, "This time, being behind him isn't always bad--in military terms, we now have a small commando team behind his front line and ready to cut off his supply-chain, and without supplies that will either provoke him to make that One Big Mistake or further tighten the noose around him to set the stage for it."
"Kick some UNSUB ass, lady," he said with a smile and a thumbs-up as he turned away to plot gun-shops on his tablet's map and talk strategy with Rossi and Reid--as the team's Geographic Profile specialist, maybe the younger genius could help narrow down where on the list to start his search.
